Father's Day 2008

Father's day was this past Sunday (as you all know) and we celebrated in the only way possible when you have two toddlers and a preschooler running around - we ordered in. Thankfully my parents have the kind of backyard that allows the kids to run free and the adults to sit and chat. It was a beautiful day and the company was delightful:) Happy Father's Day boys!!

Livi's West Coast Dance Recital

I have returned to the stage people! This past weekend was my West Coast Dance recital. I performed two fabulous numbers - Baby Face and Annie (obviously:). This weekend I was much more concerned with singing the songs than with actually performing the choreography. My big cousin Alexis also performed. She had about 25 numbers in the show. I watched most of those and I still think that my singing/stage wandering was more riveting. If you were not one of the lucky people who were able to attend, do not worry, this was definitely not my last performance!

Livi's Webby Dance Recital

This Saturday was my first ever dance recital. I performed with my friends from school who also take the class that the Webby studio teaches at our school. Performing on stage was more fun than I could have imagined. After the show I asked mommy if I could go on stage every day but she didn't seem to think that was an option. A little disappointing. As you can see my costume was incredibly stylish and, no surprise here, the song I danced to was "Deep in the Heart of Texas". I sing it often although I know only two lines. Vince and Maya enjoyed my show so I think they will soon join the ranks of the performing grandchildren. Well enjoy the pictures, I think they're fabulous!

Livi's 4th Birthday

Olivia is now FOUR years old. She's very proud of this accomplishment so we had to celebrate her birthday properly. We started with lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, followed by a trip to Libby Lu for make up and hair. After getting beautiful she hit up Build-a-bear with Grammy and then we dined at Goofy's Kitchen for dinner. I am pretty sure that dinner was the highlight of her weekend (you can see by the pictures) but she tickled pink by all of the rest of the activities as well. Grammy got the girls a room at the Disneyland Hotel so that we could cap it all off with a slumber party. We happened to return to our room right when the fireworks were going off at the park so Livi naturally assumed they were in honor of her birthday as well. We did not correct her of course.

Easter 2008

Easter day was particularly exciting because Vince could finally walk! I had visions of my 16 month old son crawling around in the grass looking for eggs. No need for all the stress though, he figured it out about a month ahead of time right at 15 months (the tail end of the "normal" time frame for walking). The Easter bunny may have been a little extra generous just because of the relief;)

Christmas 2007

As you can see there were multiple Christmas celebrations. The only picture that I feel needs an explanation is the nativity scene - Livi felt it was lacking a certain something;)
